OMG Knows B.E.S.T.
OMG hosts monthly a thirty-minute web broadcast designed to assist viewers in “being their B.E.S.T.” so that they can achieve their desired results. Viewers learn about B.E.S.T. and how it drives results; factors that influence and shape B.E.S.T.; actions integral to B.E.S.T.; and the process essential to determining B.E.S.T. B.E.S.T. Plan
OMG is partnering with the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity (The Ohio State University) for the purposes of designing and facilitating a planning process that results in a 3-5 year strategic plan. A three-phase planning approach that embraces OMG’s B.E.S.T. model is being used. During the first phase, Discovery, both internal and external stakeholders are engaged. They provide feedback that facilitates a shared understanding about the organization’s current status. In the second phase, the Senior Management team creates the organization’s future state; a place that is better than the present. This future state evolves from a shared vision and core values. It is realistic, achievable, and has clearly defined metrics. The final phase involves documenting the agreed upon plan in a user-friendly format that can be shared with both internal and external stakeholders.

B.E.S.T. Team
Employees of the City of Dublin have been engaged in interactive educational sessions designed to enhance their understanding of each other’s preferences, communication styles, and cultures. Building upon this understanding , employees are challenged to put their new knowledge into practice and hold each other accountable for facilitating teams that are functioning at their B.E.S.T. Examples of session topics: Valuing and Respecting Differences- What a Difference I Can Make; Bias, Stereotypes, Prejudice; Developing Positive Interpersonal Communication Skills.

B.E.S.T. Culture
The YWCA (USA) Board members were among the first to provide feedback to OMG about its B.E.S.T. Culture Inventory. This inventory is an assessment tool that facilitates an organization’s self-examination of its culture. The tool is designed to assist organizations in determining their B.E.S.T. status. Data from the assessment creates a B.E.S.T. profile and is used to develop strategies that will foster a B.E.S.T. culture. Click here to participate in OMG’s research validation of its B.E.S.T. Culture Inventory.
