Cultural Competence Planner Certification

This new program focuses on developing cultural competence planners. It includes three levels, and provides participants with an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills to:

	Conduct cultural competence assessments within both organizations and systems.
	Facilitate change within organizations and systems that embraces cultural competence.
	Train others to understand cultural competence, cultural competence assessments, and cultural competence transformation processes.

Participants are selected based upon their ability to meet the specific criteria for each level. Participants can opt to obtain certification in Level 1 only. Certification in Levels 2 and 3 does require certification in the preceding levels.

Level 1 Certification requires participants to develop cultural competence plans, and to successfully implement a cultural competence assessment within their organization or system. It includes participation in six training sessions that range from 1-2 days and involves pre-work, assignments, and pre and post-tests.
